FASHION REVOLUTION

During the first 7 years of Fashion Revolution’s global campaign I developed and lead the Global Network to become one of the movements most important assets and the world’s largest fashion activism organisation. I also served for ten years on the board as a Member of the UK based Community Interest Company (CIC)

DENIM TO DENIM

Project concept and implementation director  

One of 5 projects supported by The British Council and UAL as part of their New Fashion Landscapes Initiative. Denim to Denim was a collaborative short course program centred on the perspective of students and denim specialists in secondary and tertiary markets from the UK and Nigeria. The project explored circular denim practice using a blended approach of place based and digital, meetings, dialogue sessions, interviews and webinars to facilitate dialogue and to capture visual content. Connecting people in the global denim value chain, who would never normally have contact. The project resulted in a unique set of recommendations, digital assets and newly formed peer to peer connections for the participants from two very diverse cultural and industry centres.

Mentor to the participating SMEs, Materials Content lead, Workshop facilitator, Peer to Peer presenterSmall But Perfectwas a 30 month EU COSME funded accelerator programme supporting 28 SMEs from across Europe to develop their businesses across, circularity, sustainable materials, new business models and social awareness.

THE GREEN CARPET CHALLENGE / ECO AGE

Primary consultant, sustainability guidance and advisory, materials sourcing criteria, supplier introductions and liaison, brand buying and celebrity styling.

I was the primary consultant to these initiatives (Green Carpet Challenge / Eco Age) during the initial formation. I advised on all sustainability and social aspects of fibre, textiles and jewellery positioning, criteria and sourcing.

LEILA HAFZI

Materials sourcing and production for luxury bridal and occasion wear. Campaign shoot production based in Kathmandu Nepal

Working on the ground in Nepal, over the course of multiple extended trips, I supported the founder to assess and implement a materials criteria and to facilitate bespoke materials production (primarily silk). I also produced a highly complex five day photo shoot with a world class team.

The UKs first fashion sales agency dedicated to sustainable brands

In 2006 I opened the UKs first wholesale showroom dedicated to bringing emerging womens wear brand who were pioneering the sustainable fashion movement to the UK boutique market. I represented brands from the USA, France, Germany and the UK.
