I sometimes come across wonderful vintage and antique shirts of various kinds, one of the most traditional types are with heavy gathering and incredibly fine floral embroidery around the neck band and cuffs, they are called ‘Biaudes’. Often they have been repaired and often they also need repair. I like to use visible mending techniques and because it’s likely they will need repair in the future I include with them a carefully selected sachet of mending materials, specific to each shirt. Mending Shirt 001 is 100% fine cotton vintage night chemise. Ive dyed it blue and repaired it using silk thread and linen patches and other visible mending techniques. Its got a lovely volume and lots of beautiful tucks and frills! I hope whoever gets this piece next will enjoy the process of care and repair. Suitable for EU sizes 32 - 44
