This is a totally one off piece, combining a traditional, hand embroidered, Rajastahni wool shawl backed onto a piece of classic French ‘Metis’ (linen cotton plain weave) which I’ve dyed with pomegranite skins. I used local sheeps wool to stitch the two pieces together. This piece is large, 219cm x 146cm, and makes a beautiful home furninshing piece or can be worn as a large blanket shawl.
