Day Dress 001 is the very first one I’ve made, using a vintage pure linen damask table cloth and trimmed with a fine embroidered antique cotton handkerchief. Hand dyed in sage green and I’ve added a few simple hand embroidered areas where signs of age needed to be updated!

Inspired by ancient, universal garment construction that honours the cloth, The Day Dress is a super comfortable one size garment designed to work on all body types, all year round. With deep pockets and a deep V neckline it comes with simple flared sleeves or gathered blouse cuffs. Made from a single piece of cloth using my own zero waste cutting technique, 2 cuts, 2 seams, 2 additional trims, each piece is completely unique with various necklines and additions such as vintage handkerchief collars.
