Dress 001 worn by my brilliant friend, neighbour and fellow artisan Mari Laffit. This piece is an attempt to honour the skill, patience, beauty and commraderie of localised textile craft, past and present. Made from two ornately decorated pure linen table squares and two equally ornate pieces for the shawl sleeves this dress is as comfortable as it is pretty! I’ve lined it with fine, pure linen squares. I think all materials are from 1900 - 1920s sourced directly from the area where I live and work. Dipped dyed with pomegranate skins. Size UK 8-14
