I sometimes come across wonderful vintage and antique shirts of various kinds. Often they have been repaired and often they also need repair. I like to use visible mending techniques and because it’s likely they will need repair in the future I include with them a carefully selected sachet of mending materials, specific to each shirt. Did you know that mending and hand sewing is directly connected to wellbeing?

Mending shirt 002 is made from fine 100% cotton, I think its at least 70 years old it has the initials ‘G L’.hand embroidered in the inside neck and I’ve dip dyed it with a pinkish red. My favourite features of this piece are the floral embroiderey and gathers around the collar (that creates lovely light volume) and the subtle pleated hem detail. Size is good for EU 32 - 44
