The Open Chemise is made from traditional linen night gowns which were often a part of a womens ‘trousseau’. Each piece in the trousseau was carefully embroidered with the initials of the owner. I’ve altered these wonderful garments by opening the front and adding deep pockets to create a versatile layering peice which can be worn all year round.

Open Chemise 002 is made from a lovely heavy linen / cotton blend antique French night gown. I’ve hand dyed it with a brickred and hand stitched the pocket openings with 100% wool embroidery yarn. Size is good for EU 32-42
